For accurate storm tracking weather, we recommend that you get updates from here We do not recommend that you watch The Weather Channel. Weather systems, including hurricanes, are not as predictable as The Weather Channel may lead you to believe. We recommend that you track the systems based on the facts available on these websites. Look for the 3-4 hour updates. In the case where a tropical system comes near the Gulfport Beach area, we will inform you of evacuation times and routes. Remember not to apply tornado mentality to a hurricane situation. We issue camping credits only in the case of actual mandatory evacuations set by the Mississippi governor, not for rain or for false predictions.
Pass Christian RV Park Management advises guests to retract camper awnings and secure personal possessions such as dining tents, camping chairs, umbrellas, etc. Pass Christian RV Park is not responsible or liable for damages to guests camping units, vehicles or belongings due to damages during inclement weather.
In Missippi ONLY the Governor has the authority to order an evacuation. Once an evacuation order has been issued, it can be enforced as law.
Extensions must be approved by the office before the day of departure. Extra fees apply.
In the event a mandatory evacuation is issued, Pass Christian RV Park will refund in house guests by company check after the storm passes and the office reopens.
Pass Christian RV Park does not refund in house guests who opt to leave when no mandatory evacuation order has been issued by the governor of South Carolina. Lakewood Camping Resort does not issue credits or refunds due to rain or false predictions associated with the tropical system.
As long as Pass Christian RV Park remains open our cancellation policy remains in effect.
In the event, a mandatory evacuation is issued, and the campground closes until the storm passes, expected guests will be refunded by the initial payment.
